ted-failonI don’t believe that Ted Failon killed his wife. I don’t know him personally but still everyone’s entitled to their own opinion right? Ted Failon (born Mario Teodoro Failon Etong)  as we all know is one of the news anchors at ABS-CBN’s TV Patrol news program which airs weekdays from Monday-Friday. He also has a radio program on DZMM.

Ted Failon’s wife, Trina Failon Etong was brought to the hospital last Wednesday and she fought for her life until the night of April 16th when she succumbed to the gunshot wound on her head. I really don’t have to write all the facts and details here because I already know that almost everyone knows what happened. I just want to sympathize with Ted Failon and his 2 daughters who are going through all this dreadful ordeal with the media and police while they are mourning the loss of their loved one. I don’t know if it is true that the police are building a case against Ted Failon because they want to get back against Ted and ABS-CBN. Ted Failon is also a well-known critic of Malacanang. I read somewhere on the web that the big shots up there in the palace and the police department are making such a fuss on Ted Failon’s case because there are promotions and appointments involved. Hhhmmm. I smell something fishy. When Miriam Santiago‘s son committed suicide there never was an investigation. The case was immediately closed. Miriam Santiago is also a prominent personality but why are there different procedures being applied? And if the police are such smart people why can’t they even do simple SOP like reading the Miranda Doctrine to the helpers and relatives of the Etong family when they were arrested? Things like this really make one think if there really is a case or if they’re just trying to make a case.

So okay, we shouldn’t rule out foul play. And there’s the “obstruction of justice case” against Ted Failon and his driver and helpers. I agree that they did obstruct justice in this case. But that is all the case there should be. I believe that the helpers cleaned out the crime scene because they didn’t want Ted Failon’s youngest daughter to see all that blood inside their house and in the car as well. That wasn’t a smart thing to do but helpers aren’t really smart people right? As my father said, if all helpers were smart and intelligent people they wouldn’t just be helpers. They would’ve been lawyers, doctors, broadcasters or even police officers.

I am going to be looking out for all the developments in this case and I will be updating this post as well. I just hope that the police will do their job well and not think of each of their personal gain. Ted Failon is just a media-man who does his job well. There’s no point in revenge. We should just respect their family’s privacy instead. There are more crimes out there that needs the police’s attention. Like corruption perhaps?
