Don’t get me wrong, I love my job. But sometimes it just gets so redundant that I can’t help but think of resigning and just get away from it all. My friends and loved ones say that it happens to everyone everywhere. The burn out. But still, life still has to go on. What would I do anyway if I stop working right? And its better to have a job than have no job at all! I don’t want to be like other people who just stays at home and have their parents take care of them and give them all of their needs. Thats just not my thing. I want to work. I want this job. I love my job! Its really great (and it pays) to be optimistic!

This is how I entertain myself while I’m at work-i paint my nails…haha!
And would you look at that? Its pink!
And my ring? Its black! What a mood I’m in. (sigh)

Last Friday we felt an earthquake at around 2:14 AM Phil. time. It lasted for about 20 seconds. As usual, we were all calling and then suddenly our cubes were trembling and vibrating like crazy. It wasn’t an ordinary earthquake as far as we’re concerned because if it was, we wouldn’t have been looking at each other that long and poised to run downstairs. We would have done so if the lights went out or something. We were actually afraid that our building will collapse on us.
After 20 long seconds the world stood still again. And we all started talking at the same time. One of my seatmates phoned home to check on her sisters who were all alone (I stifled myself on doing the same thing). And we started speculating about Nostradamus’s predictions and God’s wrath, that kinda stuff. I don’t know if I remember it right but there was also an earthquake in Manila about 3 weeks ago. It didn’t cause any damage though and I hoped that while I was there inside our building that nothing bad happened outside also. Its going to be a hard blow for Iloilo because we’re just rising up from typhoon Frank’s wrath. I hoped nobody got hurt. And I hoped that the earthquake won’t have a sequel. We have plenty of problems already and Frank was enough. Thank God everything and everyone was fine.

Last Saturday Monica and I went to Spa Riviera again to have our monthly body massage and deep cleansing Thai facial. Its our way of rewarding our body for all the hard work in our very stressful jobs. I was kind of hesitant to go to the spa before because I don’t know what happens inside that place or what are its benefits. But after experiencing it, we made it a monthly regimen. Its nice to indulge our bodies once in a while, even for just 3 hours a month.
Here are the reasons why I love going to the spa (aside form being treated like a Princess!):
Going to the spa relieves stress, addressing problem areas with the body massage (for me its my lower back with all that sitting) and for that necessary moment of peace and quiet away from the city life. A time to relax and rejuvenate our tired bodies. A good facial also deep cleanses our pores–removing blackheads, acne, whiteheads–and leaves our faces smooth and hydrated.
Spa Riviera offers everything to pamper our body from head to toe at a very comforting and soothing environment. We’re going to try their back scrub and foot scrub next month. The attendants are very courteous and they make sure that we get what we came for. We really get our money’s worth everytime. And we will keep coming back. That’s for sure.

I don’t know if people have noticed but I’ve been talking about Monica in some of my posts. She’s a very close friend and we’ve been through some ups and downs. She’s a great friend. She’s been there for me whenever I need her and I wish she considers me a good friend too.:)
Love yah Nicay!
Here we are in the hallway of our office building:

We’re going to Spa Riviera again later today after our shift! Yehey!
I really need to pamper my body more often. Need to release the stress. I’m so excited to have that sauna, steam bath, foot spa and body massage!
