Want to document my plans and goals for this year here in my blog. Will look at this by the end of the year to see if I did accomplish everything – which I plan to.
1. Be healthy and go back to being slim. I’m looking for Yoga classes here in Iloilo and and then I’m going to enroll. Start exercising everyday. Be healthy. I am getting heavier and it’s quiet alarming. I now officially have an undeniably awful-looking paunch (which Tim points out to me everyday). I want to get rid of it as soon as possible because I can’t fit into my old clothes anymore (and which is a waste because I have so many old clothes!) I want to fit into my old clothes! And every time we have our photo ops I find it really hard to hide the paunch. LOL. So I have finally started dieting. No more chocolates, cakes, ice creams, curls and junk food for me now. Well maybe just once a week. LOL. I won’t binge anymore. I will only eat when I’m hungry. I will only eat “on time.” I don’t wanna be chubby anymore. Hehehe.
2. Learn to speak, read and write in Spanish. I’m learning how to write and speak in Spanish along with Tim. I am starting to get serious in this stuff. I’m trying to learn a phrase or two everyday. Tim’s bought a book. I’m studying online. We want to speak acceptable Spanish by the end of the year. We love and adore the Spanish language. Not only is it a romantic language, it’s also widely spoken around the world. And it’s a part of our heritage. My goodness our family names are in fact Spanish if you’ve noticed. My Lola Mamang knows how to speak Spanish. I love listening to people speak that language. Me and Tim want to be linguists. It’s our dream.
3. Enroll at CAP College. I am going back to school this year! Yes you read it right. My second ultimate dream, one of the things I want to achieve/fulfill before I die – will finally be put in motion this year. Hopefully there won’t be any hitches. I’m not listening to any discouragements from anyone. I plan to continue my studies while working at the same time. But wait, before anyone gets the wrong idea, just wanna clear up that I do love and enjoy my job! I mean who wouldn’t? Nothing beats working at home.
And honestly I earn more than you, if not you then the person next to you (this applies only to people living in the Philippines. LOL) And there are many out there who have degrees but still don’t have jobs, or if they do have jobs they’re not happy with it or usually it’s not related to the degree they’ve finished. It’s just that I really want to finish college and get that hard-to-get diploma. It’s like an obsession to me. Just so everyone knows, I plan to enroll at CAP College the pioneer in Distance Education here in the Philippines. CAP College was patterned after the “open university” concept of education which is already well-established and widely accepted in more advanced countries of Europe, Australia, Canada, the United States and Asia. If anyone wants to learn more about CAP College just click here. Mamang suggested this college to me. And I know going to school at CAP College won’t interfere with my work. In fact it will actually help me with my work. I feel that it would be much much better for me if I enroll at CAP College instead of enrolling at the universities and colleges here in Iloilo. Aside from just learning my degree here at home and online, with a little person to person interaction which will only be during final examinations, I know that I will learn a lot more than those students who physically go to school and sit at classrooms and listen to other people talk. I don’t have anything against teachers (my mother is a teacher) but for me I learn a lot better if I study by myself, not by listening to other people talk or by doing assignments and reports. I had more than one professor who just assigned reports to us for the whole semester and then just sat in the back of the classroom and listened to me and my classmates’ reports (so what happened was me and my classmates were teaching each other and all the professors did was just kinda supervise us giving a little input here and there). In fact, I think distance learning is a lot better. We get to really learn and study whether we like it or not — at our own pace. Then we will really deserve the grades we get, not because of some professor or teacher’s judgement or whim. This is MY opinion so if anyone disagrees – I don’t really care. In my point of view, everyone should earn their degrees through distance learning instead. Wanna know why I said that? Feel free to ask me. My reasons will be more understandable if you talk to me, not by just reading it here.
4. Be an active member of the CFC Singles for Christ. Right now every Sunday you will find me not only with Tim but also together with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I am building a blog for them now using WordPress too. I also want to help our less privileged brothers and sisters not only here in Iloilo but also in other places. I also want to help spread God’s words and God’s love not only to young people like me but also to everyone who will listen. Being with the SFC will help me fulfill my dream of helping others. See I’m not really a selfish person.
That being said, I have an awful lot of things to do this year. This stuffs will keep me very busy. But it’s better to be busy than not right? I have a life, unlike other people. LOL. I am currently researching more about the things I need to enroll at CAP College then I’m planning to accomplish and gather all the requirements needed so I could finally enroll and start studying. All these I will do while I’m also working. I will send myself to school. I will be paying for my tuition fee. So I better study well and hard. Then next year I will start fulfilling my dream of having my own virtual assistance company. Nothing is impossible right? I thank the Lord for all the blessings I have received. And for all the blessings to come. Hope He will help me in my journey of fulfilling my dreams.

Hey guys! I FINALLY HAD MY EAR PIERCED FOR REAL!!! I had my left earlobe, on the upper right part pierced. I bought this really cool cross stud with a faux diamond stud at Unisilver earlier this morning, around 9AM then I had my ear pierced for free. The lady who did it used a gun (not the real gun but the gun used in ear-piercing of course). I had to make my own waiver and to sign their waiver as well just to persuade them to agree to do the piercing. Because they’ve had bad experiences with dumb clients who complained when their ears got irritated because of the ear-piercing.
I have one wee problem though. Tim is in Bacolod and he still doesn’t know about what I did. He knows that I really want this done ever since before we met and he has always told me that he doesn’t want to see me sporting a stud. But because he’s not here well nobody stopped me so the DEED was done. And I’m feeling so cool and elated.
I thought my ear was going to hurt so bad that I won’t be able to sleep but right now I’m feeling so drowsy that I’m going to end this post already. I only hope that my bebeh won’t be so angry with me when he sees my new earring. Hope he’ll understand.
I’ll have a photo here of my new fashion statement within this week guys! So proud of myself!

UPDATE:
October 14, 2008. My bebeh and my parents had seen the stud. My parents – no comment. My bebeh – very angry (of course as expected) when he saw the stud then ignored me for a day. I felt a little guilty but then the deed was done so there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Anyway, he’s ignoring the ear too. Fine with me. as long as he doesn’t pull the stud off. Hehe.
November 14, 2008. After a month, my ear’s still a little sore but I think it has healed. I can sleep without feeling it hurting now. And I don’t care much of hiding it anymore. I love my stud.
*photos coming soon!

Its been a week since my last post here. I’ve been kinda busy. Too many things has happened already. I’ll just summarize them all here by date. I can’t describe everything that’s happened in detail because I still don’t have the ’time’ right now and I have to get some sleep before I start my shift tonight.
August 1 – Friday
Tim and I watched “The Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.” It was a fairly good movie although Tim said it wasn’t as good as its predecessors. I agree with him. (I now have a little crush on Jet Li though.)
August 2 – Saturday
Yey! The weekend! We had a very busy day- shopping and mall-hopping.
I went with Tim to do grocery shopping at SM Delgado. Then we went to Marymart Mall to reserve a chocolate cake for my little brother – Rino John’s birthday. After that we went to Robinson’s Place. Tim bought himself a cool Portside shirt with these really witty line written on it. He then decided to buy me Havaianas slippers. At first I didn’t believe that he’d really buy me a pair. You know how much those Havaianas cost. But he did! There wasn’t any sold at Robinson’s so we went to Atrium Mall. I didn’t like the ones displayed there so off we went to SM City. (Whew! Around that time my feet were kinda aching but I didn’t mind. ) SM City was really crowded. We went inside these boutique called Flip Flops, they only sell Havaianas exclusively. Tim made me choose the pair I like. They didn’t have the beige ones that I wanted so I settled for the brown ones instead. After that we decided to go home. I’ll brag about what my bebeh did for me to everybody! How they’ll wish that they have a guy like mine.
August 3 – Sunday
Rino John’s 10th Birthday! I spent the morning cleaning our house. Tim had lunch with us. He bought ice cream for Rino John. We cooked ‘tinolang manok’ for the dinner party. We went to church around 6pm. Then the party! Langging really enjoyed his birthday celebration, although his visitors were all ‘tigulang’ a.k.a. old people. Hahaha! The only kid present was Wewel, Tito Manny’s son. Dianne was there too. Dianne by the way is my brother – Severino’s (Toto RD) girlfriend. Nang Ting was there as well. She’s Toto’s sister at Singles for Christ.
Well..that was my very busy but exciting weekend. And I’ll be adding photos of my Havaianas and Rino John’s birthday when I have the time. I’ll be back soon guys. In the meantime. I’m back to bed. Zzzzzzz..

Last Saturday Monica and I went to Spa Riviera again to have our monthly body massage and deep cleansing Thai facial. Its our way of rewarding our body for all the hard work in our very stressful jobs. I was kind of hesitant to go to the spa before because I don’t know what happens inside that place or what are its benefits. But after experiencing it, we made it a monthly regimen. Its nice to indulge our bodies once in a while, even for just 3 hours a month.
Here are the reasons why I love going to the spa (aside form being treated like a Princess!):
Going to the spa relieves stress, addressing problem areas with the body massage (for me its my lower back with all that sitting) and for that necessary moment of peace and quiet away from the city life. A time to relax and rejuvenate our tired bodies. A good facial also deep cleanses our pores–removing blackheads, acne, whiteheads–and leaves our faces smooth and hydrated.
Spa Riviera offers everything to pamper our body from head to toe at a very comforting and soothing environment. We’re going to try their back scrub and foot scrub next month. The attendants are very courteous and they make sure that we get what we came for. We really get our money’s worth everytime. And we will keep coming back. That’s for sure.

Yep, I bought myself an ABBA cd and this really cool and cute ear cuff kind of earring like the one that Meryl Streep was wearing on that movie. After my shift yesterday, I met up with my bebeh for breakfast then we went to SM Delgado’s department store and browsed through the CDs on sale. I found this ABBA album which features a compilation of their greatest hits. My bebeh was actually supposed to upload ABBA’s hits on my iPod but too bad his computer chose this time to break down. So because Mary Jane just can’t wait to hear those phenomenal chart-toppers I promptly bought myself a CD. I went home and listened to it before going to bed (which pumped me up instead of mellowing me down..haha) I sang and danced a little to their music (yeah, a “little”).
I also bought this cool ear-cuff from Unisilver which is a curved band of metal that is pressed onto the helix of the ear. I have to pinch it hard to make sure that it stays in place (It was kind of painful at first but I got used to it eventually). I actually wanted my ear pierced at the helix and wear a stud or clip-on earrings but Tim won’t let me. He says I will look like a punk and people are going to think that I’m a drug addict or something. It has so many negative connotations.
Oh well, I just have to content myself with a “non-pierce” earring. Anyway its not that bad-looking right? What do you think?
By the way, the butterfly earring I’m wearing was bought by my bebeh about a couple of months ago. Goes well with the ear-cuff.
