hannah_montana_the_movie_movie_posterLast night when I have finished all my tasks for the day I decided to watch Grey’s Anatomy online again. I reward myself by watching Grey’s Anatomy every time I finish my work. Even though I have practically watched all the episodes already I still don’t get tired of that soap. And I never will. Back to the topic, not many people know that I am also a fan of Miley Cyrus a.k.a. Hannah Montana. I think only Tim, my brothers and Monica knows that I have watched all Hannah Montana episodes. Yes I did. People think it’s kinda weird that a girl my age still watches these kind of sitcoms. Even my friends in Plurk laugh at me and says I’m a weird lady. LOL. But it’s really not that hard to believe, I’m a sucker for feel good movies and any show, sitcom or soap that makes me feel good. And Disney has a lot of those. Although I don’t like the Jonas Brothers, High School Musical or Camp Rock. They’re too “ugh” and “duh!”

So last night I was supposed to watch Grey’s Anatomy but when I opened the site where I watch all my shows online I saw a link of Hannah Montana: The Movie! It’s finally available online. So instead of watching Grey’s Anatomy I watched the movie instead. I started being curious with Hannah Montana when I heard Miley Cyrus’s single “7 Things“. I saw the music video on MYX and it made me want to find out about her and why Hannah Montana is such a big hit with youngsters and well, some girl’s my age. LOL. When I started watching the first episode I was hooked! It wasn’t so bad after all. It’s not cheesy and ugh and duh like the other Disney shows. It made me think of Two of a Kind . I loved that show too. So yeah, I watched all Hannah Montana episodes until I got to finish them all and I still wait for the latest episodes to be available online so I could watch them as well.

Hannah Montana: The Movie as we Hannah fans know is the film adaptation of the popular sitcom and it stars Miley Cyrus as Miley Stuart with her alter-ego Hannah Montana, Billy Ray Cyrus as Robby Ray StuartEmily Osment as Lilly Truscott/Lola Luftnagle, Mitchel Musso as Oliver Oken/Mike Standley III, Moises Arias as Rico, Margo Martindale as Ruby (Robby Ray’s Mom), Melora Hardin as Lorelei (Robby Ray’s love interest), Jason Earles as Jackson Stewart (I love his antics!), Barry Bostwick as himself (he’s the owner of the company intent in developing Crowley Corners which is Hannah’s hometown), Peter Gunn as Oswald (the slimey reporter/paparrazzi), Lucas Till as Travis Brody (Miley’s love interest, he has a crush on Miley since their childhood), Beau Billingslea as the Town Mayor and Vanessa Williams as Hannah’s publicist. There were also cameo roles by Tyra Banks, Steve Rushton, the Rascall Flatts, Marcel, Bucky Covington, William Gentner and Taylor Swift who sang “Crazier” at the charity concert to save Crowley Corners.

I won’t tell you guys what the movie is all about because I don’t want to spoil it for you. I want you to watch it so you’ll understand why I love this movie and why I’m thinking of watching it again. I’ll tell you a secret — I was teary-eyed when Miley decided to give up Hannah Montana forever and she thanked everyone for letting her live her dream. The movie soundtrack is also bursting with a lot of cool new songs from Hannah Montana and other artists. I have downloaded them all! LOL. You will surely dance to “Hoedown Throwdown” sang by Miley Cyrus, be touched by “Butterly Fly Away” by Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus and many more songs.

So now that I have written this blog post I know some of my Plurker friends will laugh at me and tease me but I really don’t care. LOL. But I know they understand that I’m really a kid at heart and I just love being happy. Hannah Montana makes me happy.  This is just me being optimistic. Connect the dots. Watch Hannah Montana: The Movie now and tell me what you think. ;)

200px-yesman2008poster Tim and I watched Yes Man earlier. I didn’t expect to enjoy this movie because I didn’t really like its trailer but hey I enjoyed it! As usual, we didn’t have plans to watch it but because we can’t think of anything else to do we just decided to watch Yes Man. Tim is going home tomorrow to Kabankalan because he’s going to attend the funeral of his Tita and he won’t be back until the 15th (my birthday) so we kinda like celebrated Valentine’s Day today.

As always, Jim Carrey is a great actor and he didn’t fail to make us laugh. Although he exaggerates/overacts sometimes. Yes Man is an American comedy film directed by Peyton Reed and starring Jim Carrey as Carl Allen and Zooey Deschanel as Allison. The film is based on the true story and 2005 book The Yes Man by British humourist Danny Wallace (who has a brief cameo in the film). Well I learned a lot of things from this movie. One is too enjoy life to the fullest and to not live inside a box. To be SPONTANEOUS and unpredictable ( I like being unpredictable). And to be imaginative. I myself don’t really like to live a boring life. That’s why I take risks. That’s why I hate boring people. That’s why I love my bebeh. :)

I learned a lot of things about Jim Carrey too. And I admire the guy more than ever. In the movie there was a part there that he bungee jumped from a bridge and I was telling my bebeh that I am pretty sure that Jim Carrey did his own stunt and I was right! He bungee jumped from that bridge himself! And did you know that Jim Carrey also knows how to play the guitar? In fact he’s been playing the guitar since he was a little boy. And he also learned basic Korean for a scene. He spoke the language really well, I give him credit for that.

So that’s it guys. If you haven’t watched this movie yet then I recommend that you do because you won’t regret it. Even most of the critics from Rotten Tomatoes liked the movie and gave it positive reviews.

I’m going back to work now. Thanks to a week’s rest and being idle because of my lack of internet connection made it kinda hard for me to go back to my sleeping pattern and made great damage to my work and my wallet. Well if I don’t work I won’t get any payments. If I don’t earn money then I won’t be able to finance my dreams. I have to earn in order for me to also live my life to the fullest right? That’s the reality.

Ooops by the way guys I have started utilizing my Flickr account as you might have noticed on the right hand side of my blog so if you wanna see more photos of me, my friends, my bebeh, my family, my cousins, relatives, EVERYONE, everything and anything — just check out my Flickr photostream okay? Okay!

And I’m hooked to Beyonce’s songs right now. I keep repeating “If I Were A Boy” and “Single Ladies.” And have you heard of  FM Static‘s song entitled “Tonight”? It’s a really nice song. Teens in the Philippines love it. Also I was reminded of Third Eye Blind’s “Jumper” because it was featured in the movie Yes Man. So these are the songs I’m listening to right now. Alright I’m really going back to work right now. TTYL! :D

I’m praying for peace in Gaza and for the whole wide world – make it the universe. My bebeh introduced me to this beautiful song last year. And I’m introducing this song to those who haven’t heard this before. Hope you like it too. Let’s all pray for WORLD PEACE! I just don’t see the point of all these wars!

Million Voices

Artist – Wyclef Jean
Album – Hotel Rwanda Soundtrack
Lyrics – A Million Voices

African Chorus throughout song:

———————————–
Ni dyar’izuba, Rizagaruga, Hejuru yadju, Nduzaricyeza ricyeza.

[ When will the sun rise again?
Who will reveal it to us again? ]
———————————–

Rwanda, Rwanda,
Yeah Rwanda, Rwanda.

They said: ‘Many are called and few are chosen,’
But I wish some wasn’t chosen
for the blood spilling of Rwanda.

They said: ‘Meshach Eshach and Abednego, Drowned in the fire but you never get burned,’but I wish that I didn’t get burned in Rwanda.

They said: ‘The man is judged according to his works,’so tell me Africa, what’s your worth?

There’s no money, no diamonds, no fortunes on this planet that can replace Rwanda…

Rwanda Rwanda
Yeah, Rwanda Rwanda
These are the cry of the children
Rwanda Rwanda
Anybody hear my cry?

If America, is the United States of America, Then why can’t Africa, be the United States of Africa?

And if England, is the United Kingdom,
Then why can’t Africa unite all the kingdoms and become United Kingdom of Africa?

Rwanda Rwanda, Rwanda Rwanda
Yeah, yeah.

These are the cries of the children, yeah.
Can anybody out there hear our cries?
Yeah, heavens cry … Jesus cry.

Lord, did you hear us calling you?
Yeah, Rwanda Rwanda,

Lord, did you hear us calling?
Can you do something in Rwanda?

Rwanda Rwanda, Rwanda Rwanda

I’m talkin’ ’bout Jesus; talkin’ ’bout Rwanda Rwanda Rwanda

Talkin’ ’bout … talk’n ’bout … talk’n ’bout … talk’n ’bout….
I wanna play my guitar for Rwanda….
