Pacquiao VS Margarito

The country is once again “paralyzed” while waiting and looking forward to Manny Pacquiao’s boxing fight with Antonio Margarito. We just finished watching Solar Sports’ pre-fight special where they documented the day-to-day activities of the Pacman and the Tijuana Tornado weeks before the scheduled fight. I am rooting of course for Pacquiao. Tim and I think that this is the Pacman’s last fight and he will retire from boxing and concentrate on his other career. We fervently hope that he will not go down in flames but go out of the boxing world with a big bang instead.

Two thumbs up to Migs for taking care of our church and its surroundings. If the parish of Molo has a solemn place for wakes, Jaro has a sociable place for wedding receptions, Oton has nothing. IT’S TIME!

Prominently called as our parish “social hall”, we are now in the process of gathering help and raising funds to build a new parish “pastoral center”.

San Antonio Resort – Roxas, Capiz

San Antonio Resort – we have discovered an awesome resort in Roxas City, Capiz! I love seafood and if I want my fix of it only one place comes to mind – Roxas. And this time when we went there last month we decided to check out a resort that a friend of mine raved about.  San Antonio Resort is slowly becoming popular not only here in Panay but internationally as well. There were a bunch of foreign tourists when we were there. I learned that they offer tour packages as well.

Estancia, Iloilo – Alaska of the Philippines

Another great place to go when you’re craving for seafood and you happen to be in Panay Island is at Estancia. Estancia is known as the Alaska of the Philippines.  Before I went there I did not understand why they call it that. But when I got to see the fish port I immediately understood why the name -  Alaska. All those drums and boxes of seafood at very affordable prices! And it’s also a little bit cold there.
